Defining Moment

By Harry Hoover Do you know your audiences? I mean really know them. Ive just been working on a project for a client to help him position his financial planning business and to determine who his key audiences are. Common traits and common media habits are a couple of the characteristics we uncovered. In this particular case, the audience was high net worth individuals who tend to be conservative, and who are not mainstream media lovers or consumers. When they do consume media, it tends to be conservative talk radio or FOX News. They trust opinions of friends and colleagues, not the media. So, advertising is not the way to reach them. We will launch a referral program and try to place the clients editorial material in business-oriented media and on local talk radio in his key markets. Also, we are implementing a speakers bureau to get him in front of civic and professional groups. So, you can see how defining the audience using demographic, geographic and psychographic elements dictates our marketing approach from a tactical perspective. Your current customers hold the key to geographic, demographic and psychographic attributes of your key audience. Survey them to find out: Why did your clients buy your product? Why did they buy from you and not a competitor? What made them buy from you at a specific point in time? Was it an impulse decision or did they ponder it? What do they like the most/least about your product? What is the benefit of the product? Are they willing to refer others to your product? What is their age? Are they readers? What do they read? Do they watch TV; listen to the radio; read newspapers? What is their most trusted media source? These are just a few things youll want to learn about your audiences. If you delve into what makes them tick, it will put your marketing on steroids. And, as Martha would say, thats a good thing. Harry Hoover is a partner in My Creative Team. Preaching the Gospel: Why is It Difficult?

By Sherman Cox Martin Luther declared, How difficult an occupation preaching is.(1) Then Luther continued by a discussion of the intensity of the attacks from Satan on those who would presume to preach the word of God.(2) In this short essay, I will discuss how four important themes concur with Luthers statement. The first of these themes is the importance of our definition of the gospel to our preaching ministry. The second theme is the importance of the Holy Spirit to the task of preaching. The third theme is our definition of preaching. The fourth theme is metaphors for understanding the preacher. I believe that these four fundamental concepts from all point to the validity of Martin Luthers full statement, specifically the difficulty of preaching. My working definition of the Gospel is; God is actively involved in the elevation of the world to a state beyond original creation.(3) This means that God is not idly standing by while Satan runs rampant. God is in the world taking on the forces that are in the world. This understanding of the Gospel means that God and Satan are in a Cosmic Battle and the destiny of the world is at stake. Neither God nor Satan will give up the world to the other without a struggle. Thus, we can expect that both God and Satan will use all the resources, consistent with their characters, to win this war. If we preach the Gospel, Satan will do the best that Satan can do to undermine the Gospel. Thus my understanding of the gospel includes in it a belief that Satan will use all the furies of hell(4) to stop that Gospel and thus the preaching of it. In his statement, Luther speaks of a difficulty in the preaching of the gospel. Luther seems to mean that it is difficult because Satan will attack the preacher. While this is true and I have referred to it above, there is another way that it is difficult. Luther does not explicitly reference this difficulty in the statement. This difficulty is the problem of even conceiving of the Gospel in the world. Because of the worlds way of doing things, we can lose sight of the Gospel. To understand the Gospel we must appeal to the importance of the Holy Spirit in all preaching. We cannot know how the Gospel looks today except the Spirit tells us. Jesus said that the Spirit of truth would be there to reveal the truth to us (John 16:13). If the Sprit is there to help us understand the gospel, Satan will be there to obscure it. If the Spirit tells us that we should fight for the oppressed, Satan is present telling us that that does not include the outsider. If the Spirit tells us to speak against domestic violence, Satan is present telling us that we do not know what the woman did to deserve the beating. Again Luthers statement is illuminated; preaching is difficult in that it is difficult to conceive of the gospel in this world. Another important theme to describe the difficulty of preaching is to look at our definition of preaching. Dr. Brad Braxton states that Preaching is the faithful, passionate, reporting of Gods useful news. (5) Here preaching includes something that is useful, good news. If it is useful, then it is something practical that humanity can take with them to live the life that God calls them to live. Satan would attack this kind of proclamation. Another important component of preaching that supports Luthers statement is that the preaching event is an encounter between God and humanity. If we are in a war, then Satan must stop all communication between God and humanity. If the preaching event is a special communication between God and humanity we can be certain that Satan will do all that Satan can do to stop that communication. Luther is right that Satan is against one who would stand up, tell useful truth, and be a conduit for a special encounter between God and humanity.(6) To this point, I have discussed the gospel, the Spirit in our work, and the Spirit in us. Now I wish to discuss how pictures of the preacher agree with Luthers statement. We will look at some metaphors for understanding the preaching of the Gospel in the world. One metaphor is the preacher as herald.(7) Here the preacher is primarily one that publishes the information given to the preacher by God. If we are to preach the Gospel, we are telling the world that God is involved in the world. Satan will attack those who say this. Another Biblical metaphor is the Preacher as an ambassador taken from 2 Corinthians 5:20. Paul states that Satan is the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4). Thus, this world has many of the characteristics of Satan. The mindset of this world is different from the mindset of God which is why Paul tells the Roman believers to not be conformed to this world (Romans 12:2). We are ambassadors of another country. Satan hates that country and is at war with us. Often when a country is at war with another country they expel the ambassadors and close the embassy. However, Christians remain in war territory. Here we are ambassadors of a minority position in the world. We are standing up to the powers to let them know that the Gospel is still true. Why do the powers care about those who preach the Gospel? The powers of this world care about the preacher because the preacher reminds Satan and all the dominions of evil that, their end will come. In essence, the preacher personifies the Gospel and thus the hatred of the Gospel becomes a hatred of the preacher. Luther reminds the preacher that the job is a treacherous one. In addition, it really reminds me one thing that Dr. Braxton said echoing Jesus, if you are not suffering persecution you are probably not preaching the gospel (2 Tim 3:12).(8) We will encounter trouble as we preach the gospel. Dr. Braxton continued this thought by telling me of the need for courage and wisdom in preaching.(9) Dr. Braxton recognized that I caught a glimpse of what Luther saw. Because of this recognition I was struggling with the fear that comes from an understanding of the ramifications of preaching the Gospel. This fear assumes what Luther has already stated; namely, that preaching is a difficult occupation. There is a great temptation to stay out of the fray and preach what is acceptable and easy. However, the Gospel calls for something different. True preaching will cause trouble for the preacher. This trouble comes because when we preach the Gospel, we are informing those who spread lies that God will uncover the truth eventually. When we preach the Gospel, we are telling those who cause pain in the world that the God of all comfort will undo their actions. Finally, when we preach the gospel, we are telling all those who practice death that there is a resurrection on Sunday morning. Yes, Luther was right when he said evil would attack the preacher. Preaching the Gospel is definitely a bittersweet job. I did not choose it, sometimes I do not want it, but I recognize that God gave me this work. As I reflect on it, I wonder what better job could God give one than to preach good news of great joy (Luke 2:10). I thank God for the opportunity, and I pray for Gods protection, leading, courage, and wisdom as I go out to preach the gospel to the powers and to Gods people. ===================References==================================== 1. Bike Accidents - How To You Claim Compensation

By Martin Nolan It is said that the number of cyclists on our roads in the UK has doubled since the year 2000. There are around 4 million people cycling regularly either for recreation, fitness or simply to get to and from work. In London recent studies have suggested that by 2010 the numbers of cyclists in the capital will be 80% above the current level. The congestion charge, road layout improvements and safety features have all helped to increase the volumes of people willing to switch from petrol power to pedal power. With such an increase in volume, there is inevitably an increase in the numbers of cycle related accidents and injuries. If you have been injured on the road whilst riding a pedal bike then you may wish to know how you can pursue a claim. Most accident lawyers will be able to deal with your case ideally you should instruct a firm that specialise in pedal cycle compensation. Most cyclists do not have the benefit of legal expenses insurance (which most car drivers tend to have as part of their motor cover) and so instead they may be forced to simply make enquiries on the internet or use a local solicitors practice to help them with a claim. Most cycle related claims are simple and therefore you do not necessarily need representation from a specialist solicitor. However if you want to ensure that you receive adequate compensation then specialists are the best people to hire. There are certain claims (which we cover in a separate article) that you may be entitled to make that are cycle specific yet most non- specialists wont be aware of. You may miss out on vital damages simply because your solicitor isnt aware of the full entitlement that you have as an injured cyclist. Here are a few tips which should help you make a successful claim: 1. If you are injured seek medical advice from preferably the local hospital or at the very least your GP 2. Try to ensure the Police receive a report of the incident. This could come in handy despite the fact that (unless there is serious injury) they may not be too interested in your situation.. 3. Obtain an estimate for any bike damage 4. If the bike is not repairable please provide copies of the original purchase receipt and / or an estimate of the actual replacement costs. 5. Call a specialist bike accident solicitor. For more on bike accident claims please call The Claims Connection helpline on 0800 0322210. Deal with the specialists right from the word go. Dont take any risks with your claim. The separation of Church and State? Evolution, Intelligent Design and the Bible - Part 3

By Anthony Smith Intelligent Design is a doctrine such as Evolution and the Bible. If the world is looking at the Bible as a doctrine we must look at all Books, Papers, Articles and Scientific Lectures as Doctrines. What is I.D.? Intelligent Design (ID) is the controversial assertion that certain features of the universe and of living things exhibit the characteristics of a product resulting from an intelligent cause or agent, as opposed to an unguided process such as natural selection.. Adherents of Intelligent Design have claimed that it stands on equal footing with, or is superior to, current scientific theories regarding the origin of life and the origin of the universe. The scientific community has rejected this claim on the grounds that Intelligent Design is not a scientific theory but junk science. The N.A.S has said that Intelligent Design “and other claims of supernatural intervention in the origin of life” are not science because their claims cannot be tested by experiment and propose no new hypotheses of their own. Proponents of Intelligent Design make the claim that there is a systemic bias within the scientific community against proponents’ ideas and research, because of the naturalistic assumption that science can or should only make reference to natural causes. Critics have called this argument polemical, as Intelligent Design, in its opposition to what it terms methodological-naturalism, is at odds with current scientific philosophy and methodology. Finally, supporters hold that religious neutrality requires the teaching of both evolution and Intelligent Design in schools, because teaching only evolution unfairly discriminates against those holding the Creationist beliefs. Teaching both, Intelligent Design supporters argue, allows for a scientific basis for religious belief, without causing the state to actually promote a religious belief. According to critics of Intelligent Design, not only has Intelligent Design failed to establish reasonable doubt in its proposed shortcomings of accepted scientific theories, but it has not even presented a case worth taking seriously. Critics of Intelligent Design argue that Intelligent Design has not presented a credible case for the public policy utility of presenting Intelligent Design in education. More broadly, critics maintain that it has not met the minimum legal standard of not being a “clear” attempt to establish religion, which in the United States is constitutionally forbidden. Many large words are usually associated with theories dont you think? If we are to teach, I.D. we might as well teach, Scientology, Budism, Hinduism, and all the other isms in the world and hope our children can still think for themselves afterward. The Bible answers all these isms like this; Mat 16:12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. Rom 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 1Ti 6:3-5; If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. There are many fine Christians that want to do the proper things for their children but for them to push for Intelligent Design to be taught in the schools along with Evolution, is also harmful, for they are devieateing from the true word. This is a deception from Satan. 2Jo 1:9-11; Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. Teaching Intelligent Design is erring from the truth. We do not sneak about trying to cover up the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but we are to stand boldly affirming the truth and Faith that we have in the Word of God. Gal 1:7-9; Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Phi 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. So in ending, we see that the men who are encouraging teaching Evolution and those that argue to teach Intelligent Design are both at odds with the Father and His word. We cannot allow others to teach false, religions, doctrines and unprovable theories to our children. Its the Bible or nothing. Garden Tables Aren’t Just Decoration

By John Gibb In order to enjoy your time outdoor, you may have considered garden tables or other patio furniture. In todays marketplace there are many different options available to suit varying tastes and needs. Almost every major furniture designer these days has come up with a series of outdoor furniture and you can find garden tables that range in price from moderate to outrageous. The thing that isnt always as easy to find is the set, that actually appeals to your families needs and tastes. The sad truth is that in todays market place, most furniture sets are designed for families of four. This leaves little room for larger families or for guests. If you have more than two children or a large group of friends and family that you spend time with and share meals with quite often, then perhaps you would be wise in limiting your search to larger sets, or purchasing several inexpensive smaller sets of garden tables and scattering them across your yard or patio. This will allow several zones where people can talk more intimately than at larger tables, kids can congregate and play games, and or various groups can have their own sense of privacy even among a large group of people. Garden tables are more than a fashion accessory for our yards these days. Weve learned that our yard is an extension of our home and we want to be able to enjoy that space as well as we enjoy the interiors of our homes, especially with the premium price that land commands in this day and age. Choose furniture for your lawn and garden that you not only enjoy the look of but that you also find comfortable. You will probably have this furniture for quite a while so it makes sense to make a substantial investment in the furniture that you choose. How REAL Mothers Fill in Baby Memory Books

By Sophia Ton There are several different kinds of popular baby memory books that moms like to fill in for keepsakes. And most wont remain flat for long! Small semi-soft cover photo album types are popular where you stash away single snap shots each month then gradually spreading them out to the annual daycare photos. You can also keep tiny snippets of those first curls here and other small mementos hair ribbons or bows, scalp cap, squashed bootie, etc. Average sized books are about 5.9 x 8.5 x 0.9 inches with a sort of soft, quilted coverbut they sure wont remain flat for long. Similarly larger hardcover baby memory books have photo pages for storing copies. Plus they generally feature questions where you fill in the blanks as baby grows up. These are popular because moms (and dads!) like to record first words, favorite foods, during early years, etc. These books run around 11.6 x 9.4 x 0.9 inches, and their binding does allow for some fluff as the books expand with hair snips, ribbons, favorite package bows from grandma, etc. But they still grow too big for their bindings! Other real moments captured by moms with these baby memory books include: Favorite greeting cards from family members, co-workers, friends anyone and everyone! Fun package tags that held tiny trinkets like baby booties or rattle. Bookmarks for mom, dad or baby. Newspaper announcements about babys birth! First tooth that fell out (unless the tooth fairy took it, of course!) Family Trees Favorite songs of the times Favorite videos / DVDs, movies (like any of Disneys). Silly but cute crafts created during those early years. Fun coloring pages. Finger painting page for finger prints as security plus for fun. Nursery swatches Photos of everything with baby in them Paper dolls and clothes Hair clippings Vacation mementoes, postcard(s) and brief write up of adventurous time you had. Autobiography and history of others in family. List of books you read baby As you can probably tell, just one baby memory book is probably - - OK definitely not going to be enough room for everything. So get real, and get real baby memory books with extra space. Or just get more space for your baby memory books. But do have fun! Does Drug Advertising Lead to Unnecesary Presciptions

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Craig_Wilcox] Craig Wilcox If you havent seen the prescription drugs ads on television, you must not have a television. Theyre everywhere, and theyre convincing millions of people who may not need medication to “talk to their doctor” about getting fixed up with free samples. The mark of a drug ad seems to be the overt caution they seem to be recommending for anyone using their products. Fill in the blank here: if you have an _________ for more than four hours, please seek immediate medical attention. But these overt warnings are not the most important distinguishing features of the ads. What truly sets them apart is the subtle manipulation they use to make you think you need to take them. Look at the ads for Lipitor, an effective cholesterol lowering drug offered by Pfizer. In their ads, you see a very good looking man getting ready for a swim, or a glamorous woman emerging from a limousine to the flashbulbs of the adoring paparazzi. Youre notified that these are people who have it all. Not only do they take care of themselves and have the adoration of opposite sex well into middle age, but theyre likely also rich and famous. Then, whoops, they belly flop into the pool or trip onto the red carpet in front of all their fans. We learn theyre not perfect after all. They cant dive or walk in high heels, and oh yes, they have high cholesterol. Isnt that just a comical way of introducing a drug? Well, yes, but thats not all that the ad is trying to accomplish. The subtle message here is that even if you were to live the perfect life, you would probably still need their drug to lower your cholesterol. The viewer is left thinking, “Ill never get myself to look that good no matter how hard I exercise and watch my diet, so why should I even try? Isnt it better just to quit trying and take the drug?” This, of course, is the wrong message to send to Americans, who dont need any more excuses to sit around and wait for terrible diseases to succumb to. High levels of low-density cholesterol are a problem. And everyone who has this should be making every effort to get it down. (If your doctor tells you to take statins like Lipitor, take his or her advice straight to the pharmacy counter.) People with a genetic predisposition to overly high cholesterol are the minority, though, not the majority. In fact, a web site sponsored by the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey estimates that familial hypercholesterolemia (genetically high cholesterol) affects only 1 in 500 people: [http://www.umdnj.edu/genesatwork/topics/adult_medicine/10_adult.htm] http://www.umdnj.edu/genesatwork/topics/adult_medicine/10_adult.htm But the simple fact is that cholesterol can almost always be lowered with a combination of exercise and a diet that is lower in saturated fats. The drugs companies do pay lip service to this, but they do so in a way thats almost a throwaway line–”exercise, eat better, yada, yada, yada”–knowing full well that Americans wont be changing those habits anytime soon. (Similarly, cigarette manufacturers know they can run all the anti-smoking ads the government wants them to with very little effect on sales.) There will be people who need to take cholesterol-lowering drugs, and we should be thankful that companies like Pfizer are around to help out in those situations. (The author takes a prescription Pfizer product and would have a much lower quality of life without it.) However, statins are powerful drugs, and powerful drugs often have quite malicious side effects that one might want to avoid. With all statins, there is a danger of permanent nerve damage known as neuropathy. Neuropathy causes pain and tingling in the legs, as well as a loss of sensation, when the nerves stop functioning. Amputations are common with this condition. A study in Sweden showed that two years of statin use raised the risk of developing peripheral neuropathy by 26%. Given that statistic alone, it would be better to emphasize that most people will be able to control their cholesterol through a sensible diet and exercise program. We may never look like the models and actors who supposedly have cholesterol problems, but perhaps we can have better health without drug interventions. Weight Loss Patch - A Quick Fix For Weight Loss?

By Kelvin Ho Wee Min With our fast pace economic growth, more and more people are putting on weight. This is not surprising given that our diets consist of more processed food that contain more fat and sugar and we are getting little or no regular exercise. Jobs that used to require physical movement are replaced with those that require only buttons to be pushed while watching television, playing video games and surfing the Internet are becoming our main past times. Fortunately, this is balanced by people being more aware of their health. As a result, people are constantly looking out for quick and easy ways to lose weight. Marketers saw this as a great opportunity to launch weight loss products that promised a quick fix. One of such products is the weight loss patch. Sometimes they are also known as the diet patch. Weight Loss Patch You can say that the weight loss patch is a dream come true for people who are looking to lose weight or to go on a diet. Imagine all you need to do is to put on such a patch and you will be able to make your fats melt away. Advertisers claimed that by using weight loss patches, you will experience lessened hunger pangs and other symptoms generally associated with weight reduction and this will help to jump-start your metabolism, dramatically increasing your body’s ability to burn fat. Sounds interesting, isn’t it. But do these patches really work? And are they safe? Do They Work? Firstly, what is inside these weight loss patches? Looking at the main ingredients, you will find that they are not exactly anything special. Some ingredients, like chromium and guarana have subtle effects and will not lead to much weight loss without accompanying changes to diet and lifestyle. Other ingredients like hydroxycitric acid and bladderwrack do not have much going for them in the way of proven results. So, are weight loss patches worth experimenting with? To answer that question, let us examine what the FTC (Federal Trade Commission), the watch dog agency that ensures that false advertising is kept at bay, has done. Recently, the FTC launched a campaign to help consumers spot claims that almost always signal a diet rip-off. Weighing the evidence in diet ads, the FTC warns consumers to steer clear of diet pills, patches, creams, or other products that offer quick weight loss without diet or exercise. Products that claim to block the absorption of fat, calories, or carbohydrates; or that promise that consumers can eat all they want of high-calorie foods and still lose weight are being targeted. Some advertisers had to pay claims as they were unable to provide scientifically supported evidence to support their claims. So what is the bottom line? The bottom line is that the only thing that is going to lose weight when you buy those magic patches is your wallet. You need to know that weight loss experts all agree on one thing- if you consume fewer calories than you burn, you will lose weight and if you consume more calories than you burn, you will gain weight. It is that simple. We all wish for a magic pill that will make losing weight a simple and painless task. However, until the arrival of such a miracle pill, a sensible, well-balanced diet coupled with a reasonable exercise program is, always has been and always will be the surest and safest way to lose weight permanently. Top Ten Things You Should Know About Contact Lenses

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Alex_Fir] Alex Fir 1. Soft lenses are perceived by most patients and practitioners alike to be more immediately comfortable while adequately correcting vision. They come in all formats even toric and bifocal. Disposable soft lenses take minimal but important care to maintain their safety and usefulness. Soft lenses do absorb elements from the tears and the environment. They can change in fit with their age and cleanliness, perhaps causing a lack of oxygen to the eyes. Their surfaces break down rapidly, causing a decreasing sharpness of vision. On the other hand, many patients feel they see sharper and more clearly with rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses. RGPs become very comfortable after adapting to them. They are easier and less expensive to maintain, last longer and are available in all formats. RGPs can more easily be custom designed to offer a wider range of vision correction than soft lenses. They can breathe more oxygen, don’t deteriorate as fast and don’t absorb things as easily as soft lenses. 2. Soft lenses generally center by themselves if they fit well. Just put them straight on the cornea and they will go where they belong. Use the iris, the colored part of the eye, as a guide. Make sure you have a competent eye care practitioner evaluate the fit of your lenses before you wear them, though. Improperly fit soft lenses can cause damage to your eyes! 3. Almost all nearsighted people can wear contact lenses, no matter how high their prescription. In fact, there are contact lens laboratories that make custom lenses up to -30.00 diopters! It is essential to follow your contact lens practitioner’s rules, however. Contact lenses are extremely safe when prescribed and cared for properly. 4. Improperly worn contact lenses can cause a loss of oxygen to the cornea, which in turn can lead to blood vessels growing over the front of your eyes, infections, lid changes, allergies, corneal warping, corneal swelling and possibly even blindness. 5. Do not share contact lenses with your friends. Everyone’s tears are filled with normal bacteria, but transferring these bacteria to someone else’s eyes is not a good idea. And not only is there a risk of infection, if the lenses don’t fit, the eye can suffer from a lack of oxygen or develop other problems. 6. Contact lenses are medical devices. Changing parameters should be done under the supervision of an eye care practitioner. Do not take chances! 7. If you sunbathe while wearing contact lenses, there is no problem with heat. But your corneas can swell and make your lenses fit tighter, causing some temporary redness and irritation. Put some form of lubricating drops in your eyes before tanning. Wear protective glasses to block the really harmful UV radiation from getting to your eyes it has been linked to cataracts, macular degeneration, etc. 8. Bloodshot eyes are a sign that something is not right. It could be as simple as a solution allergy or dirty lenses. But it could also be a sign that your corneas are not getting enough oxygen. Go see your eye care practitioner and find out why your eyes are so red! 9. Eyeglass prescriptions are higher than contact lens prescriptions because contact lenses sit on the eye, whereas eyeglasses sit in space in front of the eye. This is called the vertex distance. The closer a lens sits to the eye, the less strength is needed to focus light on the retina. And the stronger the prescription, the more the power adjustment. This is true for both soft and RGP lenses. 10. Some contact lens practitioners find that lenses with lower water content can sometimes be better for people who have dry eyes. But some patients actually do better with high-water contact lenses. It has long been felt by some practitioners that the thicker the lens, the better, as well.
